As women, we navigate careers, families, and the relentless ticking of the clock, yet when we look for something truly special, something that feels rare, exquisite, and distinctly us - we are often forced to compromise. You find the garment in one place, spend hours hunting for the finishing touches somewhere else, and settle for the common place simply because time ran out.
House of Saranya was born out of that exact exhaustion and a stubborn refusal to settle.
Bridging Worlds, Redefining Beauty
When I finally decided to step away from the corporate world and bring this long-held dream to life, I knew my perfectionism would keep me waiting forever for the "perfect" moment. So, I decided to start with one element and build a world around it.
As an Indian woman, I have always been captivated by the breathtaking richness of Indian attire, craftsmanship, and ornamentation. But I often wondered: Why should such artistry be confined by cultural boundaries? Too often, traditional designs remain one-dimensional, locking exquisite textiles and rich textures away from a broader audience.
I wanted to change that narrative. We began with bespoke Indo-Western fusion wear for women and girls. Pieces crafted with the intention of crossing cultural lines, blending timeless heritage with modern elegance. But House of Saranya is not just an Indian clothing boutique. This is merely the opening chapter of a much larger vision. Over time, our curation will expand into a sanctuary for all things beautifully made - spanning event wear, work wear, everyday elegance, statement accessories, and curated home decor, sourcing unique local and international treasures you didn't even know you needed.
A Mother’s Heart, A Family’s Legacy
Why House of Saranya?
At the time the brand was conceived, I had two children, my firstborn being a daughter whose second name is Saranya. As a mother, I wanted to build something that would one day show them what is possible: that you can follow your passions even if they are multi-faceted, even if you have to take small steps, and even when self-doubt whispers that it’s impossible.
Becoming a mother gave me the courage to push past fear. It also anchored our ultimate golden rule and our brand ethos:
“If I wouldn’t buy it for myself, my kids, or my home, I cannot expect another person to.”
When I curate, I do so as if I am shopping for my own wardrobe and my own home. Everything we bring you must meet a standard of uncompromising quality, beauty, and uniqueness.
Grace, Grit, and the Character Behind the Name
If you look at me today, it is easy to make assumptions. People who don't know my story sometimes look at a woman who takes pride in her appearance and automatically assume life was easy. That doors opened effortlessly and everything was handed to her.
My journey couldn't be further from that.
I grew up in difficult times, but I was raised by giants. My parents and grandparents taught me that despite limited finances, hard work, integrity, and self-respect are non-negotiable. They instilled in me that your name is all you have; it should mean something, and the character behind the name is yours to protect. They taught me that circumstances are never an excuse for mediocrity, and that we alone determine what our name stands for.
When I became a mother, I wanted to give my children all that I did not have, but more importantly, I wanted them to know that nothing comes easy, and nothing is impossible.
House of Saranya is the physical manifestation of that belief. It is built for me, for my children, and in honor of the incredible force that raised and supported me.
